The nominal voltage of the on-board network is 12 V.
To protect electrical circuits, fuses are used, the color of which corresponds to the protection current of the fuse. The health of the fuse is determined by the presence of a wire conductor connecting the contacts of the fuse.
When working on electrical equipment, remove the wire «masses» from the battery in order to prevent the possibility of a short circuit in electrical circuits.
The electrical equipment of the car consists of ignition, power supply, start-up, lighting and light signaling systems. In addition, the electrical equipment system includes instrumentation and additional equipment.
Attention! To prevent damage to semiconductor devices (diodes and transistors), When performing work on electrical equipment, comply with the following requirements:
- - while the engine is running, do not disconnect the battery, alternator or any electrical connectors;
- - do not hold the key in the ignition lock in position «Ignition on» more than 10 s if the engine does not start;
- - remove the wire from the negative terminal of the battery before any work carried out with the components of the electrical equipment of the car;
- - when carrying out electric welding work on the car, turn off the alternator and the electronic control unit;
- - do not allow the engine to run with the generator disconnected from the electrical system;
- - do not check the serviceability of the generator by shorting its outputs to «mass».
