Vehicle identification plate
The vehicle identification plate is affixed to the windshield trim on the driver's side.
Used when registering a car. Plate with car number (VIN number) attached to the windshield on the driver's side. The plate shows the date of issue, manufacturer and body type.
Location of numbering on 4-cylinder engines
On 4-cylinder engines up to 1990, the number is stamped on the right side of the cylinder block.
Location of numbering on 6-cylinder engines
On V6 engines, the number is also on the left side of the block, next to the oil filter.
Factory certificate
Factory certificate plate
The certification plate is located on the edge of the door on the driver's side. The plate indicates the month and year of manufacture, manufacturer, barcodes, conclusion on the vehicle's serviceability, load capacity.
VECI label
Emission Control System and Vacuum Hose Wiring Diagram (VECI label)
Reinforced on the inside of the hood. Contains emission control system and adjustment data.
Numbers on transmission units
Manual transmission number
Manual transmission number (indicated by an arrow) - Stamped at the bottom of the crankcase.
The transfer case and manual transmission numbers are stamped on the crankcases of these units.
Number plate on automatic transmission
The number of the automatic transmission is contained in a plate mounted on the side of the crankcase.
