The immobilizer is an anti-theft system. When the ignition key is inserted into the lock, the radio beacon chip generates a coded signal that is received by the car's anti-theft system. The engine will start only if the transmitted coded signal completely matches the car's identification code.

When the key is removed from the ignition switch, the identification code is automatically set.

When the key of this vehicle is inserted into the ignition switch, the transmitted code cancels the anti-theft system that prevents the engine from starting.

To make a new key at the Toyota service center, you need the key number and the main key. It should be remembered that there is a limit on the number of keys that can be made at the Toyota service center.

It is impossible to disable the anti-theft system and start the engine with a homemade duplicate.
