The remote control system includes a remote control transmitter that sends a coded infrared signal to a receiver that controls the locking system. The transmitter also controls the warning system, which includes light and sound alarms.
If the red LED does not light up when pressing the transmitter button, replace the transmitter battery. Due to the deterioration of the battery parameters, the range of the transmitter decreases over time.
To replace the battery, use a small screwdriver to separate the transmitter housing, replace the battery, observing the correct polarity when inserting a new battery, then snap the two halves of the housing together until it clicks.
