Removal and installation airbags and coil springs [Toyota RAV4 XA10]

Removal and installation of the driver's airbag and coil wire are given in the section "Steering".

To remove the front passenger airbag, proceed as follows:

Deactivate the airbag system.

On pre-2001 models, remove the instrument cluster. Remove the screws, disconnect the electrical connector and remove the airbag from the instrument panel.

On 2001 and later models, remove the glove box, disconnect the electrical connector, remove the screws and remove the airbag.

Install the front passenger airbag in the reverse order of removal.
