The system consists of an electric motor, a control unit, a brake pedal switch, control switches and a speed sensor.
Due to the specific features of the system, special test equipment and diagnostic tests are required to test it.
Below are only general checks to help locate the fault:
Check the integrity of the fuses.
Press the brake pedal and check that the brake lights come on, as the brake light switch deactivates the cruise control system.
If the brake lights do not come on or remain on, check the switch and the cruise control system.

Visually inspect the control cable connecting the electric motor and the throttle sector for binding (figure 15.60). Replace the cable if necessary.
If the cruise control system still does not work properly, take it to a service station.
