Replace the battery as follows.
Switch off the ignition.
On models from 2001 release, remove the hood.
Disconnect from battery first «negative» wire and then «positive».
Remove the 2 nuts, lift the cross clamp and remove the battery from the vehicle.
Check the condition of the battery support bracket for signs of corrosion. If there is corrosion, wash it with sodium bicarbonate water. Then rinse the support bracket with plenty of water and dry it.
If the battery is being replaced, install a new battery with the same capacity as recommended by the manufacturer.
Install the battery so that the notch in the battery base aligns with the hole in the support bracket.
Install the cross clamp and secure with nuts, but do not overtighten them to avoid damage to the battery case.
Check that the battery is securely fastened, otherwise the battery life may be shortened.
Connect the positive terminal to the battery first, then the negative terminal and secure them by tightening the fastening nuts to a torque of 5 Nm.
