Fuses and fuses are sized to melt before all electrical wiring is damaged in the event that an overload occurs in the electrical circuits from the battery.
Note: Before replacing fuse links, determine the cause of the electrical overload and make any necessary repairs.
Caution: Do not use wire instead of fusible links, even for temporary installations, as this may cause damage to the electrical system and cause a fire.
1. To change a fuse or fuse, turn off the ignition.
2. Open the mounting blocks and determine which element has burned out. Chapter "Body electrical equipment" also shown are the possible locations of the mounting blocks in car interior and in engine compartment.
Type 1. Open the glove box and remove it
Type 2: Open the lock of the speaker trim, disconnect the speaker connector
Remove the mounting block cover
3. If you are unsure whether the fuse in question is blown or not, then replace the suspect fuse with another fuse that you are sure is good to check.
Note: for removing and installing type fuses "A" use a special puller "tweezers".
4. Install only a fuse with the ampere rating indicated on the cover of the fuse box.
5. If there is no spare fuse, then in critical situations, you can remove the fuses from the positions "RADIO", "A/C" or "MIR-HTR", which are not necessary for the normal movement of the car, and use them if their denomination matches the necessary one.
6. If you do not have a fuse with a nominal value, then you should use a fuse with a lower value, as close as possible to the nominal value.
Note: It is recommended to keep a set of spare fuses in the vehicle.
7. If a new fuse blows immediately, this indicates a fault in the electrical system.
