Checking and adjusting the clutch pedal free play
1. Lightly press the clutch pedal and use a ruler to measure the distance to the point where you feel resistance to movement (see Figure 7.1).

The amount of free play must be within the specified limits, otherwise it must be adjusted.
2. To adjust, loosen the lock nut on the push rod (see Figure 7.2).

3. Rotate the rod in one direction or another until the free travel of the clutch pedal and the push rod corresponds to the norm.
4. Tighten the lock nut.
5. After adjusting the clutch pedal free play, check the clutch pedal height.
6. If the clutch pedal height requires adjustment, loosen the lock nut and adjust it by turning the stop bolt (see Figure 7.2). Tighten the lock nut.
