Checking and adjusting the pedal height
Measure the distance from the pedal to the bottom trim. It should be 145-155 mm.
If necessary, remove the lower trim of the front panel ("torpedo") and an air valve in order to get to the adjusting screw. Loosen the locknut and adjust the pedal height with the adjusting screw. Tighten locknut.
Checking and adjusting the pedal and pusher travel
Press the pedal with your finger until resistance is felt. Measure pedal travel. It should be:
- Gasoline engines up to 4/87 of release - 13-23 mm;
- Diesel and all new gasoline engines - 5-15 mm.
Press your finger further on the pedal until you feel more resistance. Measure the distance from the previous point. It should be 1-5 mm.
If necessary, give the locknut and adjust the pedal stroke (pusher stroke).
Tighten locknut.
After adjusting the pedal travel, check the pedal height again.
Install the front panel trim.
