Removal and installation
1. Disconnect the battery from ground.
2. Disable the airbag (see subsection 11.44).
3. Remove the steering wheel.
4. Remove the steering column cover.

5. Remove the top panel bracket, remove the lower center cover.
6. Remove the N₂ air duct.

7. Remove the screws from the lower left trim panel on the left (photo on the left) and on the right (photo on the right) sides.
8. Remove the panel and hood lock lever.


9. Loosen the screws securing the middle (photo on the left) and lower (photo on the right) parts of the central trim panel and remove the panel.
10. Disconnect the wire connectors.
11. Pry up and remove the cigarette lighter cover, remove the ashtray and holder.

12. Pry up and remove the ignition switch trim.

13. Remove the instrument panel trim screws.
14. Pull the trim toward you and disconnect the headlight switch and dimmer connector.
15. Remove the instrument panel trim.
16. Pry up and remove the headlight switch handle, loosen the nut and remove the switch.

17. Unscrew the screws (indicated by arrows) glove compartment door. Remove the door.

18. To remove the strip, unscrew 2 screws and a bolt (indicated by arrows). Remove the bar.
