Rear springs — removal and installation [Toyota 4Runner N120]

1. Raise the rear of the vehicle.

2. Place supports under the bridge beam.

3. Pass a chain through the spring coils and secure with a bolt to prevent the spring from accidentally falling out when lowering the bridge. The chain length should ensure that the spring is fully straightened.

4. Remove the stabilizer clamps.

5. Disconnect the crossbar from the bridge.

6. Carefully lower the axle so that the springs can be reached. Watch the brake hose so that it does not break.

7. The springs are installed in the reverse order.

8. Make sure that the springs are installed correctly in the lower cup.
