Upper arm

1. Cotter pin; 2. Bushing; 3. Lever

Attention! The procedure applies to rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive vehicles.

Removal and installation

1. Raise the front of the car.

2. Remove the caliper and set it aside.

3. Disconnect the wires from the speed sensor (if there is an ABS system).

4. Raise the lower control arm with a jack. Do not remove the jack.

5. Unscrew the nut, remove the washer and axle.

6. Check the condition of the bushings.

7. If the bushings are damaged (cracks, wear), then replace (bushing replacement is performed at a car service center).

8. Assembly is carried out in reverse order.

9. Tighten the nut to the specified torque.

Attention! Tighten the nut only after lowering the car, on a level surface. You can also simulate the load on the lever by lifting the lower lever with a jack.

10. On rear-wheel drive vehicles, check and adjust wheel alignment.
