Removal and installation

Attention! Work is performed by two people.

1. Open the hood and cover the fenders and air intake grille with a rag.

2. Disconnect the windshield washer hoses.

3. Outline the contours of the hood hinges.

4. Place a rag under the corners of the hood, have an assistant hold the hood on one side, unscrew the hinge bolts and remove the hood.

5. Installation is carried out in reverse order.

Adjustment

After installation, adjust the latch position so that the hood closes tightly and the hood surface is flush with the fenders.

1. Outline the hood latch bolts.

2. Loosen the bolts and move the retainer to the desired position, then tighten the bolts.

3. By turning or twisting, adjust the hood buffers on the radiator strut so that the closed hood is flush with the fenders.

4. The hood latch and hinges should be periodically lubricated with lithol.
