Gearbox oil change [Toyota 4Runner N120]

1. Take the vehicle for a drive, lift it up and place it on stands.

2. Unscrew the drain plug (see subsection 2.33) and drain the oil into a clean pan. Replace the plug and tighten.

3. Check the drained oil for solid particles, which indicate wear of the gearbox and the need for repair in the near future.

4. Unscrew the filler plug and pour in fresh oil using a syringe or a syringe. The oil level should reach the bottom edge of the hole. Screw the plug back in.

5. Lower the vehicle. Drive it, check the level and add oil if necessary.
