3.4L (or 3.0L) V6 engine thermostat

If the lower radiator hose is cool when the engine is warm, the thermostat should be replaced. First check the fluid level, the condition of the pump belt, and the serviceability of the sensor and temperature gauge.
Replacement
1. Disconnect the battery from ground.
2. Drain the liquid.
3. Disconnect all hoses from the thermostat.

4. Remove the thermostat, paying attention to its orientation.
Carefully remove the old seal.

5. Replace the cover gasket, orient and install the thermostat.
6. Tighten the bolts. Fill with fluid.
