Coolant pump on 4-cylinder engines





1. Gasket; 2. Pump; 3. Belt; 4. Pulley; 5. Coupling; 6. Impeller; 7. Casing 1; 8. Casing 2


4-cylinder engines



1. Disconnect the battery from ground and drain the coolant (see subsection 2.33).

2. Remove all accessory belts.

3. Remove the fan shroud and fan.

4. Remove the pulley from the pump and disconnect the hoses (see fig. Coolant pump on 4-cylinder engines).



5. Loosen the bolts and remove the pump.

6. Carefully clean the split surface of the cover from any remaining gasket.

7. Installation is carried out in reverse order. Tighten the bolts to the specified torque.

V6 engine

3.0L Engine Pump Bolts





Tightening torque:
bolts A – 15.6 Nm
bolts B – 16.8 Nm


1. Disconnect the battery from ground and drain the coolant.

2. Remove the timing belt.

3. Remove the generator bracket and remove the thermostat from the pump.

4. Disconnect the N₂ cooler hose from the pump.

5. Loosen the bolts and remove the pump (see fig. Pump bolts 3.0 l). Disconnect the hoses.

6. Carefully clean the split surface of the lid from any remaining sealant.

7. Installation is performed in reverse order. Apply a bead of sealant to the pump surface. Tighten the bolts to the specified torque. Keep in mind that the 3.0L engine pump bolts have different sizes (see fig. Pump bolts 3.0 l).
