Clutch Master Cylinder — Removal and Installation [Toyota 4Runner N120]

1. Drain the liquid by sucking it out of the tank with a bulb syringe.

2. Disconnect the hydraulic line from the cylinder and plug it.

3. Remove the trim in the driver's footwell area.



4. Disconnect the master cylinder pushrod from the clutch pedal by unhooking spring A, removing cotter pin B and removing the axle.



5. Loosen the nuts (A and B) and remove the cylinder.

6. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Fill with liquid and bleed air (see subsection 7.2.6).
