2. Remove the transmission.

3. Remove the spring clip from the fork ball joint.

4. Remember how the release bearing mounts to the fork, remove the bearing (photo on the left). Remove the plug (photo on the right).

5. Check the condition of the dust cover and spring clip. Replace these parts if they show signs of wear.
6. The bearing should rotate freely, otherwise replace the bearing.
Attention! It is prohibited to wash the bearing in solvent.

7. Before assembly, lubricate the recesses for the fork ball joint, the slave cylinder pusher and the bearing mounting points with high-melting grease.

8. Install the spring clip (photo on the left) and lubricate the bearing bushing with high-melting grease (photo on the right).
9. Install the bearing onto the fork.

10. Place the bearing on the gearbox shaft. Pass the fork through the boot, lubricate the support and place the fork on the support, pressing it until it clicks (photo on the left). Check the freedom of movement of the bearing along the splines of the gearbox shaft (photo on the right).
11. Lightly lubricate the bearing thrust surface with high-temperature grease.
12. Then assembly is carried out in reverse order.
