Warning! Cars are equipped with security systems (SRS), including airbags and seat belt tensioners. Before carrying out work near the shock sensors, the instrument panel and the steering column, first disconnect the negative and then the positive terminals from the battery and wait 2 minutes. This will prevent unauthorized deployment of the airbags and deployment of the seat belt pretensioners, which could cause injury.
Remove the center console as follows:
Turn off the ignition and disconnect the wire «masses» from the battery.
Raise the parking brake lever.
If the vehicle is equipped with a manual transmission, unscrew the button from the gear lever and remove the gear lever boot.

If the vehicle is equipped with an automatic transmission, remove the selector lever trim (pic. 14.45).
On models since 2001, remove the screws and use a screwdriver blade to separate the lower part of the central instrument panel trim. To avoid scratching the panels, wrap the screwdriver blade with tape or a rag.
On models up to 2001, unscrew the screws of the front and middle part of the center console, then unscrew the screw securing the rear part and, moving the console, remove it back.

On models since 2001, remove the screws and remove the rear section of the center console (pic. 14.46). Also remove the trim covers in the front section of the center console (pic. 14.47).

Remove the screws securing the front section of the center console and remove it along the parking brake lever (pic. 14.48).
Disconnect the electrical connectors from the front section of the center console and remove it from the vehicle.
Install the center console in the reverse order of removal
