If you purchase a refurbished engine, you must remove all attachments and install them in exactly the same order on the new engine. These units include:
- exhaust emission control elements;
- distributor (only on engines before 1997);
- high-voltage wires and ignition coils;
- thermostat and thermostat cover;
- water pump (only on engines since 2001);
- bypass pipe of the cooling system;
- intake and exhaust manifolds;
- oil filter;
- supports;
- flywheel/drive plate.
If you purchase an incomplete cylinder block, you must remove and install it on the new engine:
- timing belt or timing chain of a gas distribution mechanism;
- cylinder head;
- oil pump;
- water pump (only on engines up to 2001);
