Fill with engine oil and coolant.
Remove the spark plugs from the engine and disconnect the electrical connector supplying voltage to the fuel pump.
Use the starter to turn the engine crankshaft until the oil pressure warning lamp goes out.
Screw in the spark plugs and connect the voltage supply electrical connector to the fuel pump.
Start the engine. It may take longer to start the engine, as it will take time to build up pressure in the fuel system.
Warm up the engine to operating temperature. As the engine warms up, watch closely for possible oil, fuel, or coolant leaks. Unusual odors and smoke may be produced from parts exposed to high temperatures due to burn-out of residual oil.
Stop the engine and check the engine oil and coolant levels and top up if necessary.
If new pistons, piston rings, main and connecting rod bearings were installed, the engine must be run-in during the first 800 km of run. During the break-in period, do not operate at wide open throttle or at too low a speed in any gear.
After break-in, change the engine oil and oil filter.
After driving 3000 km, change the engine oil and oil filter again.
