Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor/Pedal Module
Examination
1. The accelerator pedal and accelerator pedal position sensor are a single module. The sensor detects the opening angle of the accelerator pedal and sends corresponding voltage signals to the ECM.
2. For safety reasons, it is best to have the accelerator pedal position sensor checked at a Toyota dealership service center.
Removal
3. Remove the carpet as much as necessary to access the pedal and disconnect the connectors of the two wiring sensors.
4. Loosen the mounting bolts and remove the accelerator pedal module from the vehicle interior.

Installation
5. Installation of the accelerator pedal position sensor is carried out in the reverse order of its removal. Tighten the mounting bolts securely.
