Crankshaft position sensor
Examination
1. This sensor is located on the oil pump housing on the right side of the front of the engine (see Figure 10.1).

Access to the sensor is limited from above; it will be more convenient to remove it from below, by raising the front of the car and installing safety supports.
2. Disconnect the wiring connector from the sensor, measure the resistance between the sensor terminals with an ohmmeter and check the measurement results for compliance with the specifications. If there is a discrepancy, the sensor must be replaced.
Removal
3. With the wiring connector disconnected, unscrew the mounting bolt and remove the sensor from the oil pump housing.

Installation
4. Lightly lubricate the sensor O-ring with engine oil, then install it in place and tighten the mounting bolt to the specified torque. Connect the wiring connector.
