1. After completing assembly, double check the oil and coolant levels.
2. With the spark plugs removed and the ignition system and fuel pump disconnected, turn the crankshaft until the oil pressure is registered by the sensor.
3. Screw in the spark plugs, put on the high-voltage wire tips and connect the ignition system and fuel pump.
4. Start the engine. The engine should start immediately, after a short period of time to allow fuel pressure to build up.
5. Warm up the engine, watching carefully for any oil or coolant leaks.
6. Stop the engine and check the oil and coolant levels. 7. Accelerate the car from 50 km/h to 90 km/h, release the throttle pedal, braking the car with the engine to 50 km/h. Repeat the cycle 10-12 times. This will allow the piston rings to become accustomed to the cylinder walls. Check the oil and fluid levels again.
8. Take a 800 km trip without putting much stress on the engine (move at low speed), periodically checking the oil level. Increased oil consumption is possible during the running-in period.
9. After 900-1100 km, change the oil and oil filter.
The original can be read on the website (www.ToyotaMan.ru)
10. For the next few hundred kilometers, drive the car normally, avoiding too much or too little load.
11. After 3,300 km of running, change the oil and oil filter again, after which the engine is considered to have been run in.
