2. On 4WD vehicles without a front differential selector (2), remove the transfer case lever handle. On vehicles with a front differential selector, loosen the screw and remove the transfer case lever handle. Remove the upper panel of the front section. On vehicles with a front differential selector (1), disconnect the selector connector. Disconnect the 2 latches, loosen the screws and remove the front section case.
3. Raise the car.
4. Unscrew the nut and remove the washer, disconnect the rod from the lever.
5. Disconnect the connector, unscrew the bolts and remove the lever.
6. Assembly is performed in reverse order. Tighten the rod nut to the specified torque.
