2. Remove the hood panel fastening clips (Fig. 14.2).

Note: Use a small screwdriver to push in on the center pins of the plastic clips, but do not attempt to remove these pins. They should remain in the clip. Release the remaining clips and remove the hood panel.
3. If it is necessary to remove the air intake box deflector, first remove the wiper linkage as described in chapter 12, and then unscrew the bolts securing the air intake box reflector (Fig. 14.3).

4. Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.
