Checking the variable geometry intake manifold system (Lean burn) (3S-GE and 4A-FE) [Toyota Corona T190]

1. Warm up the engine to normal operating temperature and stop it.

2. Connect the tachometer.

3 Using a tee, connect the pressure gauge to the hose between the solenoid valve and the actuator.

4. Check the system operation.

a) Check the vacuum at idle speed
b) Check that there is no vacuum at 5100 rpm (3S-GE) or 4200 rpm (4A-FE).
