Relieve pressure in the fuel system.
The filter is mounted on the firewall under the air filter housing and the fuse and relay box. Remove the air filter housing and relay and fuse box.

Using a wrench, unscrew the upper hollow bolt and loosen the threaded fitting at the base of the fuel filter (pic. 2.29).
Turn out bolts of fastening of an arm of the fuel filter to a fire-prevention wall and remove the old filter together with an arm.
Mark the location of the fuel inlet and outlet hoses on the fuel filter, with the filter flange pointing down. Disconnect the hoses from the old filter and connect them to the new filter. Install the filter with the fuel supply hose pointing up and the fuel outlet hose pointing down.
Note. Recommended interval: every 50,000 km or 24 months.
Screw the threaded fitting onto the filter base. Screw a hollow bolt with new washers into the upper part of the filter and tighten it with a torque of 28 Nm.
Further installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
