Note: Recommended frequency: every 50,000 km or 24 months.

Check the exhaust system several hours after turning off the engine.

To gain easy access to the exhaust system, raise the vehicle on a lift.

Check the pipes and their connections for exhaust leaks, which indicate serious corrosion or damage.

Check the condition of the exhaust system brackets and hangers.

At the same time, inspect the underbody of the vehicle for any holes, corrosion, open seams, etc., through which exhaust gases could enter the vehicle's interior. Seal any holes you find with silicone sealant.

Check that the exhaust system components are installed freely, without tension, with sufficient clearance relative to the body components.

Check the condition of the engine by inspecting the inside of the exhaust pipe. If the pipe is black and covered with a layer of soot or white flakes, then the engine needs to be adjusted, including a complete inspection of the fuel system.
