Checking the oil level in the transfer case (4WD models)
1. Raise the vehicle with a jack and place it on safety supports.
2. Using a suitable open-end wrench or socket with a long handle or ratchet, loosen the filler plug on the transfer case housing.
3. Insert your little finger into the hole and check the lubricant level. The level should reach the bottom edge of the hole or just below it. If the level is noticeably lower, add the recommended amount Lubricant specifications, using a syringe or directly from the plastic packaging, if it has a special nozzle.
4. Screw in and tighten the cap. Check for leaks after driving for several kilometers.
