Fuel pulsation damper (models produced since 2001)
Caution! Gasoline is extremely flammable, so exercise extreme caution when working around the fuel system (see paragraph 2).
Removal
1. Relieve the pressure in the fuel system (see paragraph 2).
2. Disconnect the ground cable from the negative battery terminal.
3. Remove the air filter housing (see paragraph 10).
4. Disconnect the accelerator cable from the throttle valve (see paragraph 11).
5. Remove the pipe clamp and disconnect the fuel line using a special disconnector (see paragraph 4).
6. Loosen the fuel pulsation damper mounting bolts (see Figure 15.6).

7. Separate the damper from the fuel rail.
Installation
8. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal. Be sure to place a new O-ring on the damper body. Tighten the damper mounting bolts to the specified torque.
