To open the fuel filler cap, pull the lever up.
When refueling, the engine must be turned off.
Warning! When opening the cap, do not remove it abruptly. In hot weather, the fuel is under pressure and this may cause injury due to fuel splashing from the filler neck.

To remove the fuel cap, turn it slowly counterclockwise, then pause and remove it. After removing the cap, hang it on the hook.
When opening the lid, you may hear a slight pop. When replacing, turn the lid clockwise until you hear a click.
Warning: Make sure the cap is tightly closed to prevent fuel from leaking in the event of an accident.
When replacing the cap, use only a genuine Toyota product. The cap has a check valve to reduce the vacuum in the fuel tank.
