Pull the lever up to open the fuel filler cap.
When refueling, the engine must be switched off.
Warning! When opening the cover, do not remove it abruptly. In hot weather, the fuel is under pressure and personal injury may result from fuel splattering from the filler neck.
To remove the fuel tank cap, turn it slowly counterclockwise, then pause and remove it. After removing the cover, hang it on the hook.
When you open the lid, you can hear a light pop. When reinstalling, turn the cover clockwise until you hear a click.
Warning! Make sure the cap is closed tightly so that fuel does not spill out in the event of an accident.
When replacing the cover, use only a genuine Toyota product. The cap has a check valve to reduce the vacuum in the fuel tank.
