To replace exhaust system parts, remove shields, damaged parts and install new ones. Fastening parts and shields should be installed exactly in place of the parts being replaced, otherwise damage to the body may occur.

If the system parts cannot be removed due to corrosion, they should be removed by cutting. This procedure is usually performed in workshops using a mechanical saw or an oxyacetylene torch. The nuts should be treated with a penetrating liquid.
