The exhaust system consists of an exhaust manifold (or 2 collectors), catalytic converter, muffler, connecting pipes and suspension parts (brackets, clamps, cushions). The exhaust system is attached to the body via brackets and rubber cushions. If any of the system parts fails, the engine operation is accompanied by increased noise.

Damaged parts cannot be repaired and must be replaced.

To remove damaged exhaust system parts, use an oxyacetylene torch; you can cut them off yourself with a hacksaw. Before assembly, lubricate all threads with an anti-seize compound. When assembling exhaust system parts, ensure that the neutralizer and all heat shields are installed correctly. Ensure the necessary clearance between the exhaust pipes and the body floor.
