- A) Switch off the ignition before connecting the auxiliary battery.
- b) Turn off all electrical equipment (lighting fixtures, heater, windshield wipers, etc.).
- V) Put on protective gloves and goggles.
- G) Make sure the booster battery is rated for the same voltage as yours.
- d) If the battery of another vehicle is used as a booster, the vehicles must not touch each other
- e) Make sure the selector lever is in position «R» (in case of automatic transmission).
- and) If the booster battery is not a maintenance free battery, remove the vent caps from the booster battery and cover the openings with a rag.
Connect the red connecting wire from the special kit («cigarette lighter») to positive (+) both battery terminals (see picture).
One end of the black wire «cigarette lighter» connect to negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Connect the other end of the black wire to a securely grounded point on the vehicle being started, such as a bolt or bracket on the body.
Start the engine using the booster battery. Let the engine run at idle. Disconnect the wires in the reverse order of their connection.
Connect the connecting wires in the numerical sequence shown (note that the negative cable of the auxiliary battery is not connected to the negative terminal of the discharged battery)
