The jack supplied with the vehicle should only be used to raise the vehicle to change a wheel or to place supports underneath it.

Warning! Never climb under the vehicle or start the engine when the jack is the only support.

All vehicles are equipped with a "parallelogram type" jack. When installing the jack under the vehicle, the jack head should be positioned in contact with the groove on the seam of the lower trim between the two depressions (see Fig.)

The car must be parked on a level, horizontal surface, wheel chocks must be installed under the wheels, and the gearbox must be (automatic) parking gear must be engaged. Pry off the hub cap (if available) wedge end of the wheel wrench and remove it. Loosen the wheel nuts half a turn, but leave them in place until the wheel is raised off the platform.

Position the jack under the appropriate side of the vehicle in the designated area. Using the included handle, turn the jack screw clockwise until the wheel lifts off the pad. Loosen the wheel nuts completely, remove the wheel and replace it with the spare.

Replace the wheel nuts with the beveled side inward and tighten them securely. Lower the vehicle by turning the jack screw counterclockwise. Remove the jack and tighten the nuts in a crisscross pattern to the specified torque specified in "Technical data" in Chapter 1. If a torque wrench is not available, have the tightening torque checked at a workshop as soon as possible. Install the hub cap by using the heel of your hand or a rubber mallet to tap it into place.

The jack head is fixed on the flange of the lower trim, between two recesses (there are two places for installing a jack on each side of the car)
