When adjusting the beam of headlights, the following conditions must be met:
- tire pressure should be normal;
- the car must be in running order: with a fully filled fuel tank, a set of tools and a spare wheel;
- the car must be installed on a flat horizontal platform;
- before adjusting, it is necessary to shake the car body so that all suspension elements fall into place;
- set the headlight range control to the position «0»;
- adjustment is carried out only on the dipped headlights.

For adjustment on 1996 and 1997 headlights, there are 2 adjustment screws located on both sides of each headlight (pic. 15.48).
Models from 1998 onwards have only one adjusting screw each.

On models from 1998 to 2001, a wrench must be used to turn the screw, and since 2001, a Phillips screwdriver (pic. 15.49).
