When adjusting the headlight beam, the following conditions must be met:
- the tire pressure should be normal;
- the vehicle must be in running order: with a full fuel tank, a set of tools and a spare tire;
- the car must be parked on a level horizontal surface;
- before making any adjustments, it is necessary to rock the car body so that all suspension elements fall into place;
- set the headlight beam adjuster to position "0";
- adjustment is carried out only on low beam headlights.

For adjustment, the 1996 and 1997 model headlights have 2 adjustment screws located on either side of each headlight (figure 15.48).
On headlights of models from 1998 onwards there is only one adjustment screw.

On 1998 to 2001 models, you need to use a wrench to turn the screw, and on 2001 models, you need to use a Phillips screwdriver (figure 15.49).
