Attention! Cars are equipped with security systems (SRS), including airbags and seat belt tensioners. Before carrying out work near the shock sensors, the instrument panel and the steering column, first disconnect the negative and then the positive terminals from the battery and wait 2 minutes. This will prevent unauthorized deployment of the airbags and deployment of the seat belt pretensioners, which could cause injury.
Check the sound signal as follows.
Check the integrity of the fuses in the horn electrical circuit.
Disconnect the electrical connector from the horn.
Apply voltage from the battery to the horn with additional wires. If the signal does not work, replace it.
If the horn works, check for voltage at the electrical connector when the horn button is pressed. If voltage is present at the connector, check the connection of the horn with «weight».
If there is no voltage at the electrical connector, check the horn relay.
If the relay is OK, check the voltage supply to the relay contacts and the relay control circuit. If there is no voltage at the relay, check the electrical circuit between the relay and the fuse box.
If voltage is applied to the relay, press the horn button and check the electrical circuit between the relay and the button. If the circuit is OK, replace the horn button.
Change the sound signal as follows.
Remove the front bumper.
