Attention! Vehicles are equipped with safety systems (SRS), including airbags and seat belt tensioners. Before working near the impact sensors, instrument panel, and steering column, disconnect the negative and then positive terminals from the battery and wait 2 minutes. This will prevent unauthorized deployment of the airbags and seat belt pretensioners, which could cause injury.

Check the sound signal as follows.

Check the integrity of the fuses in the horn circuit.

Disconnect the electrical connector from the horn.

Use additional wires to supply voltage from the battery to the horn. If the signal does not work, replace it.

If the horn works, check for voltage at the electrical connector when you press the horn button. If voltage is present at the connector, check the horn connection to ground.

If there is no voltage at the electrical connector, check the horn relay.

If the relay is good, check the voltage supply circuit to the relay contacts and the relay control circuit. If there is no voltage at the relay, check the electrical circuit between the relay and the fuse box.

If voltage is supplied to the relay, press the horn button and check the electrical circuit between the relay and the button. If the electrical circuit is OK, replace the horn switch.

Replace the sound signal as follows.

Remove the front bumper.
