Note: Recommended frequency: every 50,000 km or 24 months.
Raise the car on a lift.
Remove the lower engine compartment splash shield.

Place a container to collect the oil under the drain plug 2 (see Figure 2.24) in the manual transmission pan. Remove the drain plug. After draining the oil, replace the plug.
Unscrew the threaded filler plug 1 (see Figure 2.24), located on the front side of the gearbox housing. Pour oil through the filler hole up to its lower edge.
Replace the filler plug and tighten it to 48 N·m. Perform a test drive and check for leaks through the plug.
