Caution! Halogen lamps are filled with gas under pressure; if the headlight is dropped or the cylinder is scratched, it may explode. Wear protective gloves and glasses. Do not touch the bulbs with your fingers - a greasy finger stain will cause the bulb to burn out quickly. Fingerprints should be wiped off with a cloth soaked in methyl alcohol.
1. Reach behind the headlight assembly and disconnect the wiring connector.
2. Remove the rubber insulator (see Figure 15.2).

3. Firmly grasp the bulb socket with your fingers, turn it counterclockwise and remove it from the headlight housing (see Figure 15.3).

4. Pull the bulb straight out to remove it from the socket. Without touching the bulb with your fingers, insert the socket with the new bulb into the headlight housing.
5. Connect the wiring connector.
