Fuel level sensor assembly



Caution! Gasoline is extremely flammable, so exercise extreme caution when working with the fuel system (see paragraph 2).


Note: These models are equipped with an additional fuel level sensor located on the right side of the fuel tank and can be accessed by removing the right rear seat.


Removal



1. Remove the fuel pump/fuel level sensor assembly from the fuel tank (see paragraph 5) (see Figure 7.1).

2. Carefully remove the unit from the fuel tank and the service hole, tilt it so as not to damage the float of the fuel level sensor located at the bottom of the unit.

3. Disconnect the wiring connectors from the sensor.

4. Loosen the mounting screws or separate the sensor from the fuel pump assembly.

Installation



5. The sensor is installed in the reverse order of removal.
