Examination



1. Release the pressure in the system. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Remove the fuel pump unit.



3. Disconnect the sensor wire and connect an ohmmeter to pins 2 and 3. Measure the resistance of the sensor when the meter lever is fully down (empty tank) approximately 110-115 ohms and when the lever is fully up (full tank) approximately 2-3 ohms. The resistance should change evenly as you move the lever.

4. Replace the sensor if necessary.

Replacement





1. Remove the screws (indicated by arrows) and press on tab A and pull the sensor up to remove it.

2. Install a new sensor.
