Examination



1. If the wiper blades move too slowly, check the battery condition. If the battery is fully charged, remove the windshield wiper motor and check the freedom of movement of the wipers by hand. If necessary, lubricate all hinge joints or repair them. If this measure does not produce results, check the condition of the contacts, especially the ground connections. If all connections are normal, replace the motor.

2. If the windshield wiper does not work, check the fuse. If the fuse is good, connect the electric motor to ground with a separate jumper. If the electric motor turns on, repair the ground connection. Otherwise, turn on the windshield wiper and disconnect the electric motor connector. Check for voltage at the electric motor. If there is voltage, check the electric motor.

3. To access the rear wiper terminals, remove the cargo door trim panel.
