Rear wiper motor rotation test diagram

Rear wiper motor terminal resistance test diagram

Position of the rod when checking the rear wiper motor
1. Except A, B and C
1. Connect the ()-terminal of the battery to terminal 1 and the (-)-terminal to terminal 3 (see fig. Rear wiper motor rotation test diagram). The motor should rotate in a clockwise direction. Reverse the polarity – the motor should rotate in a counterclockwise direction.
2. Connect the ()-terminal of the battery to terminal 3 and the (-)-terminal to terminal 1 (see fig. Diagram of checking the resistance of the terminals of the rear window wiper motor) and check the resistance between the following terminals (see Fig. Position of the rod when checking the rear wiper motor):
- in position A of the electric motor rod there should be a circuit between terminals 5 and 6;
- in the position of the rod B the circuit should be between terminals 4,5 and 6;
- in the position of the rod C the chain should be between terminals 5 and 6;
- in other positions there should be no chain tension between the terminals.
Replacing the rear wiper motor
1. To detach the brush lever, remove the cap and unscrew the nut.
2. Open the rear compartment door, remove the trim panel and service hole cover.
3. Loosen the bolts, disconnect the connector and remove the electric motor.
4. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
