Replacing lamps in lighting fixtures [Toyota 4Runner N120]

1. Disconnect the battery from ground.

Side direction indicator lamps





2. Loosen the top screw securing the pointer.

3. Remove the turn signal housing and disconnect the connector.



4. Turn the lamp holder counterclockwise and remove it from the housing.



5. Pull and remove the lamp.



6. The lamp is installed in the reverse order.

Front turn signal lamps



7. For convenience, lift the front of the car (it is not necessary to perform). Locate the turn signal on the back of the bumper.

8. Turn the holder counterclockwise and remove.

Please note: On some vehicles it may be necessary to remove the glass and get the bulb from the front of the indicator.


9. Remove the lamp by turning it counterclockwise.

10. The lamp is installed in the reverse order.

Brake light, tail light and rear turn signal lamps





11. Remove the rear light cover (the arrows indicate the screws that secure the rear light).

12. The brake light and rear turn signal lamps are removed by turning them counterclockwise.



Attention! On some vehicles, to replace these bulbs, you need to remove the rear light housing and remove them from the rear side.




13. To remove the reverse signal lamp, you need to remove the partition.



14. To remove the tail light, disconnect the connector and remove the light.

15. The lamps and lantern are installed in reverse order.

License plate light



16. Loosen the lampshade mounting screws and remove the lamp by pulling it towards you.

17. The lamp is installed in the reverse order.

Heater panel illumination lamp



18. Remove the heater and air conditioning control panel trim.



19. Remove the faulty heater panel light bulb.



20. Install the lamp in reverse order.

Instrument cluster illumination lamps



21. Remove the instrument panel.



22. Remove the bulb by turning it counterclockwise and pull the bulb out of the holder.

23. Install the lamp and shield in reverse order.
