Using the receiver
1. Turn on the receiver by pressing the LMU button, select stereo or mono reception, or press the TI button to receive a traffic information station (see below). The display will show L, M, or U. The receiver can also be turned on by pressing the "PWR.VOL".
2. Adjust the volume by turning the knob "PWR.VOL".
3. Tune in to the desired station (see Tuning to a Station and Programming a Tuning).
4. When tuned to a VHF station, the receiver will automatically switch to stereo reception. The ST symbol will appear on the display.
5. If the signal is weak, then the reception bandwidth will be automatically narrowed in order to reduce noise.
6. If the signal is very weak, the receiver will automatically switch to mono reception.
7. Adjust tone and balance (see Adjusting the tone and Adjusting the balance).
8. To turn off the receiver, press the knob "PWR.VOL".
Station tuning
1. Tune in to the desired station using one of the methods below. The tuning frequency value will appear on the display.
Setting in software mode
2. Used to tune into a preset station (see Programming setup).
3. Press the LMU button several times until the selected information appears on the display.
4. Press the button with the number that has been previously assigned to the desired station. The desired station is tuned in, and the desired station button number appears on the display.
Continuous search mode
5. In this mode, the station is automatically searched for. When a station is received, tuning stops automatically.
6. Press both sides of the TUNE SEEK button simultaneously and wait for a continuous beep. The receiver will automatically search for the nearest higher or lower frequency station.
7. After a confident reception, the tuning stops. Each time you press the button, the search will continue until the next station is securely received.
8. If, due to a too weak signal, it is not possible to tune after a single scan over the entire frequency range, then the search will continue, but with increased sensitivity, and the DX symbol will appear on the display.
Manual setting
9. Press both sides of the TUNE SEEK button simultaneously for no more than 0.5 seconds. Each time the button is pressed, it jumps to a frequency where broadcasting is possible.
Setting programming
1. Press the LMU button several times until the selected range appears L, M or U on the display.
2. You can set up to six stations on each selected band (on every button pressed). When installing the station, check the ranges in which the desired setting is already there.
3. Tune in to the desired station (see Tuning in a station).
4. Press one of the station selection buttons and wait for the beep. In this case, the station will automatically turn on when you press this button, the number of which will appear on the display.
5. To memorize a new station, repeat the above procedure.
6. A preset station is cleared when the power is turned off (disconnected battery, blown fuse, etc.).
Receiving traffic information from the RDS system (radio data)
1. The receiver will automatically switch to receiving a station broadcasting RDS information when switching to the VHF band. When switching, the name of the corresponding radio station and the RDS symbol will appear on the display.
2. If you tune in to a new VHF station broadcasting RDS information, the frequency value will appear on the display, and after 5 seconds the name of the corresponding radio station will appear.
3. Tuning to the desired station that broadcasts traffic information is carried out in one of the following ways.
Setting by programming, automatic search and manual
4. The setting procedure is described above.
Tuning by scanning across the entire range
5. When the TP symbol appears on the display (Traffic Program), it means that this station will broadcast traffic information and EON data.
6. The receiver switches to the TI band by pressing a button "TI". The symbol will then appear on the display "TI".
7. If 20 seconds after pressing the button "TI" the receiver does not find a station, it will start searching for a station based on the list of alternative frequencies (AF list), which ends when a station is found.
8. A sound signal and the SEARCH symbol on the display warn of the receiver switching to this mode.
9. If it is not possible to tune in to a station after a single scan over the entire range due to a weak signal, then the scan will be repeated, but with increased sensitivity, as indicated by the DX symbol on the display.
10. If the signal is too weak, the receiver will stop searching and NOTHING will appear on the display for 2 seconds.
11. If within another 20 seconds the receiver does not tune in to a TI-band station, the scan will start over.
12. When TI appears on the display, the receiver will only receive a TI station if it is tuned in by searching in automatic mode.
13. If traffic information is required and the station to which the receiver is tuned is broadcasting a different program, press the TI button and hold until the TA symbol appears on the display (Traffic Announcement).
14. When this symbol appears, the receiver stops receiving all programs except traffic information, or if there is no traffic information transmission at the moment, and a cassette is inserted into the player, then the player turns on, which automatically turns off when traffic information starts broadcasting.
15. After the end of the transmission or if the signal becomes weak, the previous program is switched on.
16. To return from the traffic information mode to the normal mode, press and hold the TI button until the TA symbol disappears from the display.
Setting to Network Tracking Mode (NF mode). Used to search for an RDS station in the entire frequency band
17. Press the NF button and hold for no more than 2 seconds, while the receiver will tune in to the RDS station, and the received program will not be interrupted. The NF symbol will appear on the display.
18. If reception conditions worsen, tuning to a station that broadcasts the same program will be made based on the list of alternative frequencies received from the RDS station.
