If the ignition key is in the "ON" or "ACC" position, you can use the radio. However, if the engine is not running, the ignition key must be in the "ACC" position.

Set the antenna length for best reception. Usually in big cities a short antenna works better than a fully extended one, which is better for distant reception.

The range of FM transmissions is about 40 km. If you move away from the transmitting station, you will need to fine-tune the radio and increase the volume when the signal weakens. Tall buildings or hills interfere with FM reception. All this is normal and does not indicate a malfunction of your radio receiver.
