1. Brake pedal height is the distance from the pedal to the floor (Fig. 13.1). If the pedal height does not correspond to the value specified in Specifications at the beginning of this chapter, it should be adjusted.

2. To adjust the brake pedal, loosen the lock nut and move the push rod back to obtain clearance. Turn the push rod to adjust the pedal height to the middle value of the prescribed range, and then retighten the lock nut (Fig. 13.1).
