Pedal Height
The height of the pedal position is the amount of removal of its pad from the floor (refer to accompanying illustration).
If the parameter in question is out of range (see Specifications), must be adjusted accordingly (see below).
1. Before you start measuring the height of the brake pedal position, make sure that the latter is fully released, then start the engine and squeeze the gas pedal several times to activate the brake booster. Measure the height of the pedal position. If necessary, make the appropriate adjustment, for which loosen the lock nut and release the lock bolt / sensor-switch of the brake lights, then loosen the pusher lock nut and rotate the latter rod to bring the pedal height to the middle of the allowable range (refer to accompanying illustration). Don't forget to tighten the locknuts.
2. When you have finished adjusting the pedal, screw the locking bolt/sensor-switch until it stops against the pedal assembly lever (without tension).
Pedal free play
Pedal free play is the amount of pedal movement from the top to the point at which there is a feeling of resistance to squeezing (refer to accompanying illustration), i.e. before the activation of the hydraulic drive of the brake system.
If the measurement result is outside the allowable range, an appropriate correction should be made (see below).
Before measuring the brake pedal free play, depress it half a dozen times with the engine off. Loosen the lock nut and achieve the desired result by rotating the pusher rod. Tighten locknut.
